Project Description

The Wuskwatim Generation Project is a joint venture between Manitoba Hydro and the Cree Nation at Taskingigup Falls in northern Manitoba.  The project will produce a three unit generating station with a total output of 200 MW.

Cahill is responsible for the Electrical and Instrumentation, Mechanica and Piping for this facility. This includes:

  • Providing a number of design, supply and install packages for the operation of the powerhouse management systems
  • The scope also includes the installation and pre-commissioning of the main switch gear, air system, lube oil system, fire suppression system and all ancillary components required for the operation of the generators.
